Our beginner class teaches ballroom completely from scratch! The class will be teaching new figures every week, along with basic technique. The curriculum is taught in 10–12 two-hour lessons; a Standard dance will be taught in the first hour, followed by Latin in the second hour. Halfway through the semester, we switch over to another two dances for a total of four dances that you can take to the dance floor.
We host Sunday practices between lessons to give members a chance to collaborate and practice what they have learned in class! During these times, an instructor will be leading a small review session followed by personal coaching. Later on in the semester, these times will also be used towards performances and competitions.
Intermediate/Advanced Classes
Our intermediate/advanced class focuses more on training and technique, and are geared towards experienced ballroom dancers dancing at the Silver and Gold levels. The curriculum depends on the instructor. Time-wise, there are ten two-hour lessons. The style will alternate each week between Standard and Latin.
